Inter’s Coppa Italia final against Juventus at the Stadio Olimpico is set to be played in front of a sold out crowd, and will break the gate receipt record for the competition.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the takings for the match should be around €4-4.5 million, breaking the record set by the Nerazzurri’s semi-final second leg against AC Milan earlier this season.
Inter’s semi-final second leg against the Rossoneri was played in front of a sold-out San Siro and saw a total gate receipt of €4.156 million, breaking a record for the Coppa Italia.
As with that match, the final against the Bianconeri will benefit from the atmosphere of a packed house as capacity restrictions for stadiums in Italy were lifted at the beginning of last month.
There are a few tickets left to be sold for Wednesday’s match, but it is all but certain that they will sold to take the total gate receipts to well over €4 million.
