Inter are likelier to move for Sassuolo striker Gianluca Scamacca than they are to bring Romelu Lukaku back to the club from Chelsea this summer.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Il Giorno, who report that while Lukaku is continuing to push for a summer return, the Nerazzurri’s priority is to sign Scamacca during the window.

Lukaku has made no secret of his desire to return to Inter, and could still be on his way out from Chelsea just one year after he made his blockbuster move to London last summer.

The Nerazzurri are aware of the Belgian’s desire to return, but they want to build their attack around Scamacca from next season onwards.

The 23-year-old is seen as a player who can replace Edin Dzeko in the long term and has the potential to improve season on season, and the club want to build around him in attack.
