Inter striker Edin Dzeko wants to put his month-long goal drought behind him by scoring against Juventus in the Coppa Italia final tomorrow evening.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that with the 36-year-old set to start the match he’ll be targeting his first goal in over a month.

Dzeko scored in the Nerazzurri’s 2-0 win over Hellas Verona last month, but since then has not been able to get on the scoresheet.

The Bosnian has been in and out of the team, making both starting and substitute appearances, while Lautaro Martinez has become the team’s most reliable goalscorer over the period.

Martinez’s place in the starting eleven to face the Bianconeri tomorrow is not in much doubt, while one of Dzeko or Joaquin Correa is set to partner him with Dzeko the favourite.

The Bosnian will be keen to show that even when he’s not in his best form in front of goal he can still score important goals for the Nerazzurri to help them to a Coppa Italia triumph tomorrow.
