Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi is aiming for the team to repeat what they accomplished in the Supercoppa Italiana in January by beating Juventus in this evening’s Coppa Italia final.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who suggest that the coach will be thinking of an encore of that match with his team playing for the Coppa Italia against the Bianconeri.

Inter have enjoyed an encouraging season, securing top four easily whilst still in the Serie A title race until the very end, and reaching the Champions League round of sixteen where they handed Liverpool their first defeat at Anfield in over a year despite getting dumped out on aggregate.

The coach has reason to feel content with the work that he has done so far, and the Supercoppa Italiana victory over Juventus in January represents the first tangible piece of silverware claimed.

However, Inzaghi will want more, and now that the climax of the season has arrived and with it the final of the Coppa Italia, he will be thinking about the significance of repeating what the team managed in January.
