Inter striker Lautaro Martinez is aiming to bring home an important trophy by beating Juventus in the Coppa Italia final this evening.

Speaking to InterTV ahead of the match, the 24-year-old emphasized that the team want to finish what they’ve already gone a long way towards achieving by winning the Coppa Italia for the first time in eleven years.

Inter beat Empoli, Roma, and AC Milan to reach the final of this season’s Coppa Italia, getting here with some memorable performances and goals.

The work that the team has already done to make it this far has been a testament to their quality and they can be proud of reaching the final, but Martinez and his teammates will not be satisfied wit just making it this far.

Now that the Nerazzurri are here, the striker wants to bring a trophy to the team and to the fans that they’ve been wanting to see for over a decade, and he believes that they are capable although it will be a difficult match.

“We know we’ve done a great job to be here, we want to win,” he said. “It’s a final and must be faced as such, it’s a match that will be decided by the details.”

“I’m happy and I’m calm,” he added, “my whole family is here and I hope to celebrate at the final whistle with them and the fans.”
