Inter defender Alessandro Bastoni wants to kick on from yesterday evening’s Coppa Italia win and have a positive end to the season.

Speaking to InterTV after the match, the 23-year-old emphasized that the season is not done with yesterday evening’s 4-2 win over Juventus and that the team want to take it further in their remaining two Serie A matches.

Bastoni was not able to start yesterday’s 4-2 win over Juventus due to a lingering injury, but he was celebrating the triumph with the rest of the team, as the Nerazzurri lifted the eighth Coppa Italia trophy in the club’s history as the fruit of their work as a team.

Now, they still have two matches to go in Serie A, against Cagliari and Sampdoria, and while they are chasing AC Milan at the top, they will feel that if their city rivals slip up they absolutely must capitalize.

Now, all that is left for the team is to celebrate their Coppa Italia win and then approach the remaining two matches of the season the same way.

“Now we’ll give our all in the last two matches,” he said. “For the Scudetto we know it does’t just depend on what we do, but we want to finish the season in the best way possible.”

He also mentioned that “I’m fine, my leg is fine. It was important for me to be here.”
