Inter president Steven Zhang has said that the Coppa Italia will always remain in the club’s history but the season is not over yet, according to a report in the Italian media.

Speaking during an interview with Inter TV after placing the trophy in the club’s trophy room, via FCInternews, Steven Zhang first made sure to thank all of the fans and members of staff at the club who have played their part in helping Inter win the Coppa Italia.

“Every day I have the honour of doing this journey with the team, the staff and with all the people who work off the pitch every day. I want to thank all those who support us every day on this path, our fans who support us from all over the world.”

He then showed that the club are not satisfied with just winning the Coppa Italia as they are still in the running to win the Scudetto this season, even if it will require AC Milan to drop points in their final two games and Inter to win both of their games.

“This cup will remain forever in the history of Inter, but at the same time the season is not over yet. We have to fight until the last minute.

“We have worked hard over the last six years to become competitive again and our goal is the same as it was six years ago, we want the team to always be competitive and to keep fighting to win trophies, to enrich our trophy cabinet.

“Winning the Coppa Italia confirms that the road is the right one, both on and off the pitch.”

Inter won the Coppa Italia on Wednesday night after beating Juventus 4-2 in extra time at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.
