Inter were close to failure against Juventus on Wednesday night but recovered to keep the dream of a domestic treble alive, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Corriere della Sera today, when Inter fell 2-1 down to the Bianconeri at the beginning of the first half, they were staring down the barrel of failure.

A defeat would have meant missing out on the chance for a domestic treble and considering the two-point gap to AC Milan with two games to go in Serie A, the Scudetto is far from in the bag.

The Nerazzurri picked themselves up though and took the chances that came their way, mostly in the form of penalties.

Hakan Calhanoglu and Ivan Perisic both dispatched excellent spot kicks to put Inter in the lead in extra-time and the Croatian then added a fourth from range to keep the dream of a domestic treble alive.
