Italian journalist Paolo Condo has said that Inter boss Simone Inzaghi must find a way to get Robin Gosens into the Inter starting lineup, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

Within his report for La Repubblica following the Coppa Italia final, journalist Paolo Condo mentioned that Simone Inzaghi needs to find a way to get Robin Gosens into the Inter starting eleven in the near future even if Ivan Perisic stays.

It is not clear at all if Ivan Perisic is going to be staying at Inter or not next season but Paolo Condo feels Simone Inzaghi should even use Robin Gosens somewhere other than the left-wing if it means getting him in the team.

“Taking for granted the need to renew Ivan Perisic’s contract, Inzaghi needs to include a player like Gosens in the starting line-up. Even at the cost of changing his role: there is no way that such a reinforcement, in the absence of adequate replacements, can be left on the bench.”

Paolo Condo also talked about the fact that Inter’s Coppa Italia triumph over Juventus reaffirms the fact that the Nerazzurri have had a very good season considering all the personnel changes in the summer.

“It reaffirms the quality of Inter’s year, which began with massive cuts to the staff and arrived with concrete results, a door on the Scudetto not yet bolted and even a small European regret.

“Inter lifts a Coppa Italia that removes any residual doubt on the right of Simone Inzaghi to continue the Nerazzurri adventure.”
