The Italian media have highlighted the fact that Hakan Calhanoglu showed immense bravery to step up and take the penalty against Juventus on Wednesday night.
As has been reported by the print edition of Tuttosport, the Turkish midfielder showed that he is not afraid to fail as he stepped up to take the penalty with 10 minutes left to play whilst Inter were 2-1 down in the Coppa Italia final.
Not only did the former AC Milan score the penalty and take the game to extra time, he also produced one of the best spot-kicks that many people have ever seen, thrashing the ball into the top corner with immense power.
Hakan Calhanoglu has been a very successful signing for Inter so far even if he has endured a couple of poor patches of form. The number of goals and assists that he has registered means that his first season at the Nerazzurri has to be deemed a success.
