A general agreement has been found between Inter and Simone Inzaghi for the extension of his contract to 2025, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport today, it is clear to everyone at the club and from the outside looking in that Simone Inzaghi has done an excellent job in his first season as Inter boss and he will be rewarded accordingly.

He had to juggle the responsibility of losing key players in the summer whilst also getting the best out of the players he was left with.

He has been able to deliver two trophies and is still in the running to win the Scudetto with two games to go. Reaching the last 16 of the Champions League was also a key achievement to boost his stock.

An appointment has been made for the end of the season to finalise the new deal.
