Inter have had a better year financially than the club had initially expected and it could have a big effect on their summer transfer business, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport, Inter’s corporate CEO Alessandro Antonello had set the target of a €100 million loss for the end of this campaign but with various tournament prize money, increased gate receipts and further participation in the Champions League, the target will likely be surpassed.

The financial structure of the club is of course weighed down by high debts so it is only cause for optimism rather than the end of any financial woes.

Even still, there is a chance that with the big contracts of Alexis Sanchez, Arturo Vidal and Matias Vecino all leaving this summer, Inter could avoid having to sell big players such as Lautaro Martinez in the summer.
