The Italian print media have highlighted some parallels between Simone Inzaghi’s coaching career and Massimiliano Allegri’s.

As has been reported by Tuttosport today, there is a big similarity between Simone Inzaghi’s first season at Inter and Max Allegri’s first at Juventus during his original stint at the Bianconeri.

When Max Allegri first took charge of Juventus, he took over from Antonio Conte who had just delivered a league title. Max Allegri was able to win Serie A and the Coppa Italia, reach the final of the Champions League and lost the Supercoppa Italiana final.

Simone Inzaghi has taken over a team that just won the title with Antonio Conte and has won the Coppa Italia, the Supercoppa Italiana and could still defend the Nerazzurri’s Serie A crown.

A similarity between the two coaches is that they do not solely focus on the league. They take pride in trying to win the cups as well.
