Former Genoa CEO Giorgio Perinetti believes that Inter will face a very tough match in their trip to Sardinia to face Cagliari tomorrow.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Vikonos Web Radio, Perinetti gave his appraisal of the Nerazzurri’s final two matches of the season and named tomorrow’s match as a particular challenge.

On paper, Inter should be significant favourites to secure three points against the Rossoblu given the team’s respective table positions.

However, Cagliari are locked in a heated relegation battle that they will have not expected to have been in even just a few weeks ago, and this should provide them with as much motivation as the Nerazzurri’s title ambitions will provide them.

Accordingly, facing the Rossoblu in front of a packed Sardegna Arena will be a massive ordeal for the Nerazzurri who will have to work hard to make their superior quality tell on the evening.

“Cagliari will be an inferno,” Perinetti predicted, “whereas I think Sampdoria will be easier.”
