Former Inter coach Alberto Zaccheroni has said that Inter are the strongest team in Italy on an individual level and in terms of their experience, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

Speaking during the Tutti Convocati broadcast on Radio 24, via FCInternews, Alberto Zaccheroni showed how highly he rates this current Inter team as he feels that if they do not win the title it will be because of their own mistakes.

“On paper it was supposed to be Inter’s championship, on an individual and experience level they are the strongest. Should they lose, it would mean that Inter lacked something.”

Inter are currently two points behind AC Milan with two games to go which means that they need the Rossoneri to drop at least three points. A level points finish will still see AC Milan win the Scudetto because they have the better head to head record.

Alberto Zaccheroni also passed comment on the contract situation regarding Ivan Perisic. He is surprised that Inter did not have more of plan in place for the Croatian.

“Perisic’s performance is equal to what you breathe in the dressing room, he is carrying the team on his shoulders, he did double work. I’m surprised that Inter didn’t have the continuity they needed.”
