Inter look to be in pole position to sign Lazio defender Francesco Acerbi this summer, with the 34-year-old set to leave Lazio.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Biancocelesti are set to ask for around €6-7 million for the defender.

Acerbi has looked to be on the way out from the Italian capital for some time, with the defender’s relationship with the fans fractured and with him never really having settled into life under coach Maurizio Sarri.

An exit looks to be all but confirmed, and Lazio have set their asking price at €6-7 million for the defender as they look to move him on this summer.

The Nerazzurri are in pole position for Acerbi’s signature, as the player seeks a reunion with former Biancocelesti coach Simone Inzaghi, and they could bring him in to reinforce their defensive options heading into next season.
