Torino President Urbano Cairo has admitted that defender Bremer is a major target for a number of clubs amid reported strong interest in him from Inter.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Radio Deejay, Cairo acknowledged the interest in the 24-year-old, who has been reported to be the Nerazzurri’s priority defensive target.

Bremer’s form in Serie A this season has made him arguably the standout defender in Serie A, and this has led Inter to see him as the ideal candidate to take over from Stefan de Vrij in the heart of defense going into next season.

They are far from the only club to have been credited with an interest in the Brazilian, however, with numerous reports linking him to top clubs in Italy as well as abroad.

Cairo’s words suggest an awareness that Bremer could leave this summer, although it remains to be seen whether Inter would be the team to win the chase for his signature.

“There are many teams that are buzzing around Bremer in particular,” he said, “but also around other players.”
