Inter defender Federico Dimarco feels that the Nerazzurri need to rely on their mentality, focus, and composure to win their remaining two matches of the Serie A season.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster DAZN ahead of this evening’s Serie A clash with Cagliari, the 24-year-old stressed that the team are not yet out of energy after their two-hour Coppa Italia final against Juventus and that mentality will be key.

Inter are very nearly at the end of a long season, with their penultimate match to be played this evening away to the Rossoblu.

The team have had a highly taxing season, and over the week they played in the Coppa Italia final to add yet more minutes into their legs as the season draws to a close.

However, Dimarco believes that with the right focus and mentality, they can push themselves over the line with the results that they want.

On the impact of the final, he said that “I think at this point it is just a question of mentality and not of fitness.”

“We have to win our last two matches,” he added, “of course we believe w can win the Scudetto. We have to focus only on ourselves and not on anyone else.”
