Legendary former Inter goalkeeper Walter Zenga feels that the result of AC Milan’s Serie A clash with Atalanta won’t have much influence on Inter’s approach in their match against Cagliari.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, the legendary former Nerazzurri keeper gave the view that Inter will be fully motivated even if the Rossoneri take three points from their clash with La Dea.

Inter play immediately after city rivals Milan, and the result of the Rossoneri’s match will be just as important as the result of their match against Cagliari.

The Nerazzurri could very well be playing for a chance to draw level on points with Milan or even overtake them in the table if the Rossoneri drop points against Atalanta, a potentially massive result.

However, even if Milan are to take three points, the Nerazzurri will still feel that if they can push the title race all the way to the final day of the season that anything can happen.

“Inter will play to win,” Zenga said. “Even if Milan win against Atalanta, the Nerazzurri will do everything as they would have anyway to take the three away from in Cagliari. They will make their rivals sweat in the Scudetto race.”
