Inter defender Alessandro Bastoni is a major target for Manchester City during the summer transfer window, and the Nerazzurri could struggle to resist an offer for him.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that the Cityzens are thinking about making an offer for the 23-year-old, and that signing AC Milan’s Alessio Romagnoli on a free transfer would be an option to replace him.

City have already shown interest in Bastoni in the past, having reportedly had a bid turned down for him last May that was worth €60 million.

The Nerazzurri could have a harder time rejecting a big offer for the defender this time around, however, especially in the event that the Premier League leaders were to increase their bid.

Should Bastoni be sold, Inter would work to find a replacement for him, with Romagnoli being lined up as one possible target given that he will be available on a free transfer at the end of his current contract with the Rossoneri.
