Lautaro Martinez is keen to stay at Inter, but the club could still decide to sell him for financial reasons this summer.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the club have no set plan on whether to sell or keep Martinez and that his future will be determined by other factors in the transfer market.

Martinez remains one of the names most strongly linked wit a summer exit if the Nerazzurri are to have to make a big sale in the window to meet financial targets.

However, the player has made his desire clear, which is to stay on and have a place at the heart of the Inter project for next season and beyond.

The club’s desire is to keep hold of the 24-year-old past the summer, but they feel that no guarantees can be made that he will not be sold as they could be pushed to accept an offer depending on how other aspects of their transfer window and the scale of the offers that arrive.
