Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali has made it clear that his team will not let many of their big name players leave during the summer transfer window.

Speaking at the Generazione S event, as reported by FCInterNews, the Neroverdi executive explained that with the amount of interest in various players in the team, they cannot allow all of them to leave at once.

Inter are targeting a number of Sassuolo players for the summer transfer window, with Gianluca Scamacca, Davide Frattesi, and Giacomo Raspadori particularly of interest to them.

The Nerazzurri are not the only team to be targeting these young Italian talents, while some of the other players within the Emilian team’s squad have emerged as serious targets for other top clubs in Serie A and elsewhere in Europe.

Inter will do everything they can to try and sign the players who they are looking at, but it may not be easy given the Neroverdi’s stance.

“We’re in a complicated situation,” Carnevali said, “out of eleven starters we have requests for six players and we can’t sell them all, because Serie A is a very tough league.”

He added that “We’re ambitious, maybe one player will leave, maybe two, but at the moment I don’t know. The wishes of the clubs and also those of the player matter. It’s still too early to say who will leave.”
