Inter will not be signing Sassuolo forward Gianluca Scamacca at the current figures that the Neroverdi are asking for, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Tuttosport, Inter are aware that they need another striker for next season and one in the traditional number nine role would be ideal to provide more rest bite for Edin Dzeko next season.

Gianluca Scamacca would be the ideal candidate and it is known that Inter have been monitoring him extremely closely for many months.

Sassuolo would like a fee of €40-45 million for the Italian forward, though, and those figures are simply too high for Inter to spend on one player, especially given they want to end the season with a large profit.

There has been talks in recent weeks of players like Andrea Pinamonti or Lorenzo Pirola being included in the deal but they may be used elsewhere.
