Inter have confirmed that Roberto Gagliardini has sustained an injury and will not play any part in the final game of the season against Sampdoria.

A statement from the club made on Friday afternoon confirmed that the Italian midfielder has picked up an injury to his left foot which means that he will play no part for the rest of the 2021/22 season.

Apart from that, Simone Inzaghi has got a full squad to choose from and is likely to go with his most trusted eleven players as they seek a second consecutive Scudetto.

It will be a big ask as the Nerazzurri must win at San Siro and then hope that Sassuolo manage to beat AC Milan at the Mapei at the same time.

Roberto Gagliardini has played a minimal amount of games for Inter this season and it is possible that he will be leaving in the summer transfer window.
