Samir Handanovic Has Decided To Stay At Inter On Reduced Wages, Italian Media Report
Inter goalkeeper Samir Handanovic has agreed to stay at the club next season on reduced wages compared to his current deal, according to a report in the Italian media today.
As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport today, the Slovenian goalkeeper will accept a one-year extension of his contract and he will now earn €2.5 million a season as well as fixed bonuses which is less than his current deal.
He will still remain the number one goalkeeper and the captain of the Nerazzurri but he will be doing battle with Cameroonian goalkeeper Andre Onana who will join the club on a free transfer this summer.
The goalkeeper was offered the deal some weeks ago but had taken a long time to respond, fueling speculation that he will either find a new club or retire.
He is not far away from breaking into the top ten of appearance makers for Inter.
