Inter goalkeeper Samir Handanovic is expected to accept a new deal on reduced terms and wishes to breach the top ten appearance makers list, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Tuttosport today, Samir Handanovic will stay with the club next season on a deal that sees him earn €2.5 million per season rather than the €3.2 million that he currently earns.

This is because he will be competing for his place with Cameroonian goalkeeper Andre Onana who will join on a free transfer.

Part of the reason Samir Handanovic wants to stay is that he thinks he can play regularly this season and he has a chance to become the tenth highest appearance maker in Nerazzurri history.

He will reach 439 games on Sunday against Sampdoria and then he will be 16 games behind Ivan Cordoba who is tenth on the list.
