Inter goalkeeper Samir Handanovic could sign his new deal with the club and have it announced as soon as next week, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

As has been reported today by Sky Sport, via FCInternews, the club are now very confident that they will be keeping their Slovenian goalkeeper for next season as he is ready to put pen to paper on a new deal.

His current deal expires at the end of this season and having made him an offer a few weeks ago, Samir Handanovic had not yet responded to the club.

That fueled speculation that he will leave the club at the end of the season but now he is ready to accept a deal on reduced wages to what he currently earns.

He will be challenging Andre Onana for the starting spot as the Cameroonian is joining in the summer on a free transfer from Ajax.
