AS Roma director has said that he is 100% sure that Henrikh Mkhitaryan has not been in talks with Inter over a move in the summer, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.
Speaking to DAZN shortly before the Giallorossi’s game against Torino on Friday evening, via FCInternews, Tiago Pinto was asked about the transfer business of the club heading into the summer.
There have been multiple reports suggesting that Inter are going to sign AS Roma’s Armenian midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan once his contract expires at the end of the season.
Tiago Pinto played down the suggestions that the Armenian has already been in contact with the Nerazzurri to make the move happen.
“We spoke about the subject of the recovery for Tirana, that’s all. I know Miki very well, his professionalism and I’m 100% sure it’s a lie about him talking to Inter.
“He is thinking about the final, then for the market we will have time.”
Inter are intertwined with the Giallorossi in a different way this summer because both teams appear to be serious about signing Juventus forward Paulo Dybala in the summer.
Tiago Pinto says that he will focus on that when the season is over.
“I’m always consistent. We have this challenge of today’s game and talking about the market doesn’t help us stay focused. Then there’s Wednesday, then for three months we’ll talk about the market.”
