Sassuolo striker Giacomo Raspadori feels that he and his teammates will have no lack of motivation to try and beat AC Milan in tomorrow evening’s match against the Rossoneri.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Rai Radio 2, Raspadori stressed that for the Neroverdi, getting the result that would allow them to get the best possible finish at this point at this point is important to the team, in a match that could have Scudetto implications if Milan lose.

The Rossoneri must drop all three points in order to hand Inter an opportunity to overtake them at the top and win the Serie A title on the last day.

This could be seen as unlikely given that Milan will be fired up to try and finish the job and secure the title whereas the Neroverdi have nothing to fight for in terms of either European football or avoiding relegation.

However, as Raspadori explained, even in midtable the team are playing for pride and to improve their status within the league.

“We’re focused on our game,” he said,” we want to finish the season well, especially because the only way to improve our place in Serie A is to take three points.”
