Inter will terminate the contract of Alexis Sanchez with a severance payment and then sign Paulo Dybala on a free transfer.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the exit of Sanchez to make way for Dybala is at the centre of the Nerazzurri’s transfer strategy for the summer transfer window.

Inter appear to be circling the signing of Dybala, having clearly identified the Argentine’s arrival on a free transfer as an important move to add quality to the squad without going beyond financial limitations.

Sanchez will have to depart before a move for Dybala can be completed, however, as the 33-year-old’s wages are among the highest in the squad and he plays in a similar position to Dybala, who would be seen as an upgrade to the Chilean on a similar salary.

Meanwhile, the Corriere also reports that a big name sale is all but inevitable within the Nerazzurri’s summer transfer strategy.
