Forward Joaquin Correa has been named as the outstanding player in Inter’s 3-0 Serie A win over Sampdoria yesterday evening.

The 27-year-old received a 7.5/10 grade for a performance that saw him score a quickfire brace in the player ratings for the match published in today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, the highest of any player in the match.

Correa capped off his display with a second-half double, the third occasion on which he has found the back of the net twice in the second half of a match for the Nerazzurri this season, but this was not the only impressive aspect to his performance.

The Argentine was involved in linking midfield and attack throughout and at times looked unplayable as he used his technical ability and quick change of pace to get the better of his former team time and time again.

Meanwhile, all of Nicolo Barella, Alessandro Bastoni, and match-winner Ivan Perisic all received 7/10 grades for their displays, as did coach Simone Inzaghi.
