Current Italy and former Nerazzurri head coach Roberto Mancini feels that Inter and AC Milan produced a high-quality and entertaining title race this season.

Speaking at the Italian Football Hall of Fame, as reported by FCInter1908, the coach praised the Rossoneri for their Scudetto victory as well as the Nerazzurri for pushing them all the way.

The Serie A title race went down to the final day of the season for the first time in a decade, in a title race which had also seen Napoli as credible contenders until the final few weeks of the campaign and even the likes of Juventus, Atalanta, and Roma emerging as credible possibilities.

The Rossoneri needed to win their last five matches against tough opponents to ensure that they won the title, and Mancini feels that their victory was merited, though he also felt that his former team the Nerazzurri deserved praise for doing their bit in the title race.

“I must congratulate the Rossoneri who won deservedly after a good title race against the Nerazzurri. It was a good season on all fronts,” he said.
