The agent of Inter wingback Ivan Perisic is not yet sure whether the player will agree a contract extension for next season.
Italian news outlet Calciomercato.it spoke to the 33-year-old’s representatives as they left the meeting with the club earlier today regarding a possible new deal, but the player’s agent did not yet reveal how the talks went.
Perisic and Inter are coming to a decisive points in negotiations on a new deal, having failed to reach an agreement thus far on a new deal despite talks having been ongoing, but still attempting to work a deal out.
Today there was a further meeting to try and arrive at a final agreement, although it remains to be seen how the meeting went and whether it will result in an agreement or push the player further away from the club to join another team on a free transfer.
Asked about how the talks went and whether a renewal was close, Perisic’s agent simply replied “We’ll see what happens.”
