Inter Primavera coach Christian Chivu is proud of any youth players who he can help guide to a place in the Nerazzurri’s first team.

Speaking to the press outside the Integration Heros charity match at San Siro organized by former teammate Samuel Eto’o, as reported by FCInter1908, Chivu explained that his primary goal working with the Primavera team is to prepare young players for life in the senior game.

Inter’s Primavera team have enjoyed a fruitful season under Chivu in the Romanian’s first campaign in charge after having been appointed last summer.

It remains to be seen which of the players from the Primavera team will have a potential future with the Nerazzurri’s first team, but Mattia Zanotti has already made his senior debut whilst the likes of Cesare Casadei and the Carboni brothers Valentin and Franco have been turning heads for Chivu’s young team.

“All clubs have this goal,” he said of the importance of developing yout, “all youth sectors work to develop the young players and bring them through to the first team. This is the goal of all clubs. I’m always proud of my young guys.”
