Inter have given Ivan Perisic a deadline of this Friday to make his decision on the contract offer which they made to him in yesterday’s meeting.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Nerazzurri are expecting the 33-year-old’s response in the coming days.
The Nerazzurri made their improved offer in yesterday’s talks with Perisic and his representatives as the negotiations on whether or not he agrees an extension past the end of his current deal next month reach a decisive phase.
The Croat did not give his response to the club, but they do not want the talks to become drawn-out and so expect a response by the end of the week.
Meanwhile, Perisic will undergo further tests on the calf injury which forced him off in the second half of Sunday’s Serie A win over Sampdoria to see how serious the problem is.
