Inter will look to sign Genoa wingback Andrea Cambiaso this summer regardless of whether or not Ivan Perisic extends his contract in the coming days.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the 22-year-old is the main target for the future of the left-sided position alongside Robin Gosens.

Perisic’s future is not yet settled as the 33-year-old has not given his response to the Nerazzurri’s updated offer in yesterday’s contract talks, and the Nerazzurri will certainly target a left-wingback to replace him should he not extend his current deal past the end of next month.

Cambiaso would be one of the main names on the Nerazzurri’s list in the event that Perisic leaves the club this summer, but even if the Croat stays they could still move for the Genoa player with the intention of loaning him out this season to give him time to develop.
