One of first-choice defender Milan Skriniar or Alessandro Bastoni will likely be sold by Inter during the summer transfer window.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the club will likely sacrifice one of the pair with a big name necessary for financial reasons but no player considered unsellable.

Club President Steven Zhang met with the directors and coach Simone Inzaghi this afternoon, and he made it clear that a major sale will be necessary this summer although he also promised that no more than one big name will depart and that the squad will remain competitive.

It will remain to be seen which player will be cashed in on and this could depend on the offers that come forward, but Bastoni and Skriniar look to be the most probably candidates.

Meanwhile, the club also assured Inzaghi that there will be significant investment in signings to strengthen for next season’s Scudetto challenge, with Bremer, Paulo Dybala, and Kristjan Asllani the main names talked about in the meeting.
