Inter wingback Ivan Perisic will be ruled out for 30-40 days with the calf injury that he sustained during the Serie A clash with Sampdoria on Sunday.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the 33-year-old will take around a month or a little longer to recover from the pulled muscle suffered during Sunday’s match.

Perisic had to come off the pitch during the second half of the clash with Sampdoria, and tests earlier today confirmed that the problem was a pull to the medial gastrocnemius of his right calf.

The match was the final one of the Nerazzurri’s season so the player will not be ruled out of any matches through the injury, while it remains to be seen if he will even be an Inter player at the start of next season with the Croat’s contract situation not yet resolved.

At any rate, Perisic will be out with the calf injury for approximately the next 30-40 days.
