Ivan Perisic looks to be close to agreeing a new contract with Inter after positive talks in yesterday’s meeting with the club.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Croat has not yet made his financial decision but that he appears satisfied with the club’s offer.

The Nerazzurri raised their contract offer for Perisic to a two-year deal worth €4.8 million net per season, rising to €5.5 million net with the inclusion of add-ons, some of which should be very straightforward to trigger.

The 33-year-old is happy with the effort that the club is making to persuade him, although he is still not certain on what he will do.

Perisic and his representatives did not give the club a clear indication as to what they will decide on regarding the offer, but the sense is that he is now much closer to extending than he had been before the meeting.
