The agent of Ivan Perisic has informed Inter that the 33-year-old has a better offer elsewhere during the contract talks held yesterday.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the player’s representative was clear that there is a higher offer on the table from another club but that he has not yet made his decision.

There is no shortage of interest in Perisic’s signature should he decline to extend his deal with the Nerazzurri, with Juventus and teams in the Premier League among the suitors linked to a move for a free transfer in recent weeks.

The player’s agent told Inter that they have received a higher offer than the €5 million net per season, rising to €6 million net with the inclusion of add-ons, some of which are relatively trivial and the others which are linked to performance-based targets of the team, and that he will make his decision soon.
