Empoli midfielder Kristjan Asllani is convinced that a move to Inter would be right for him, but the Nerazzurri must still persuade Empoli on a deal for him.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Nerazzurri are already making progress in their pursuit of the 20-year-old who is identified as their first-choice backup for Marcelo Brozovic.

Asllani has emerged as a highly impressive young midfielder in just half a season as a regular starter at Empoli following the sale of Samuele Ricci, and the Nerazzurri believe that he has the right qualities to deputize for Brozovic in their squad.

Inter are not waiting around to get a deal done for the Albanian, and they already have indications from the player that he would welcome a move as he believes that the footballing project would be well-suited to him.

However, the Nerazzurri must still get a deal agreed with his club for the transfer to happen.
