Inter midfielder Stefano Sensi has appreciated the five months that he spent on loan at Sampdoria over the course of the second half of the season.

The 26-year-old joined the Blucerchiati in search of regular playing time after injuries and the wealth of options in his position limited his minutes at Inter, and he found a more prominent role in Marco Giampaolo’s side.

Sensi thanked Sampdoria and their fans for a loan spell that helped him find his inspiration again in a post on his Instagram account.

He wrote, “Five months flew by, especially when you feel good and feel at home. I had a great time in Genoa, from the first to the last moment. In just five months, Sampdoria went straight to my heart because of everything it gave me: affection, trust, respect, the love of the fans.”

“I will always be grateful,” he continues. “I tried to pay this back on the pitch, sweating for the shirt and doing my best to reach our common goal.”

“We were a team, we all pulled in the same direction, overcoming difficulties, together,” he adds. “I want to thank everyone I have worked with in this period, from the coach to my teammates, from the staff to the warehouse workers. The Sampdoria fans, fantastic… I will always be one of you.”
