Inter have lined up Udinese left wingback Destiny Udogie as a possible replacement for Ivan Perisic in the event that he leaves the club, though they would have to beat out Lazio and teams in the Premier League for his signature.

This according to Italian news outlet La Repubblica, who report that the 19-year-old is one of the Nerazzurri’s main names to take the place of Perisic to add depth on the left if they are unable to convince him on a contract extesnion.

Inter already have Robin Gosens at left wingback going into next season, with the 27-year-old having been signed during the January transfer window as Perisic’s long-term heir, but if Perisic is on his way they will immediately seek another player for the role.

The profile sought would be a younger player who can grow into the position, and Udogie has impressed with his performances this season for the Bianconeri so he could be a prime candidates.

Serie A rivals Lazio as well as some English clubs are also keen on the Italian’s signature, however, and the Nerazzurri would have to beat out their interest.
