Inter will immediately move to sign a replacement for Ivan Perisic if the 33-year-old departs, and have made Genoa’s Andrea Cambiaso and Empoli’s Fabiano Parisi their main targets.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri prefer to extend Perisic’s contract but that they are planning for the possibility of his departure.

If the Nerazzurri are not able to agree a contract extension with Perisic and he is to leave on a free transfer, then Robin Gosens will immediately become the first-choice on the left of the team.

The club would nevertheless also look to back up the German to ensure adequate depth in the position, and in this role they would search for a player who is young and has room to improve within Serie A.

Cambiaso and Parisi have both impressed with their debut campaigns in Serie A and would be among the Nerazzurri’s foremost targets.
