Sassuolo striker Gianluca Scamacca is hoping for a move to a big Serie A club this summer with Inter and AC Milan interested in his signature, but the player’s €40 million valuation could mean that a move to another league is more likely.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Neroverdi have set a clear €40 million price tag on the 23-year-old, and that this could make it difficult for Italian clubs to afford him.

Scamacca’s form has been a standout for Sassuolo in the season just gone, and this has meant that there is no shortage of transfer interest in him.

The Nerazzurri are foremost among the teams to have been linked, whilst city rivals AC Milan are also keen on the 23-year-old’s signature.

This would be in line with Scamacca’s desire, but it remains to be seen if either the Nerazzurri or the Rossoneri would meet Sassuolo’s asking price, something which would be more straightforward for teams in other leagues, particularly the Premier League.
