Inter are confident of securing the signing of AS Roma midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan this summer as he has delayed his response to the Giallorossi, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport today, Inter have offered the Armenian midfielder a contract for two years that would see him earn €3.5 million per year as well as bonuses.

It is up to the former Manchester United player to make his decision. He is out of contract with his current club on June 30. It is possible that by using the offer and interest from Inter. Mkhitaryan has leveraged an improved deal with AS Roma.

The Nerazzurri are remaining confident that they could sign the player because of how long he has taken to commit his future to Roma.

At Inter, they feel that Mkhitaryan could be used in rotation with Hakan Calhanoglu but also play a role in attack when needed.
