Tottenham Hotspur are leading the race to sign Alessandro Bastoni but Inter president Steven Zhang will not let the player go for a small fee, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport today, Inter’s initial request for the services of Alessandro Bastoni is €70 million.

Many clubs are interested and there is a belief that a deal can be struck for less than that but Steven Zhang is determined not to feel like he is giving the player away. Losing a player of that age and quality has to be worth his while.

Antonio Conte and Tottenham Hotspur are leading the way to sign the Italian but many other clubs are serious about making a move.

Both Manchester United and Manchester City are in the picture and other teams will inevitably join.

Pau Torres and Josko Gvardiol have been touted as possible left-footed replacements.
