Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal will leave Inter in the summer with a severance payment of €4 million, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport today, Arturo Vidal has made it clear on social media throughout the second half of the season that he will not be an Inter player when the new campaign rolls around.

He has spent two seasons at Inter and whilst there is an option for an extra year on his contract, Inter will not be triggering it. That is why they have to compensate the player and that will be with an agreed severance payment of €4 million.

It is a lot of money but it is less than half of what the player could have made if he had been kept on for a third season with the Nerazzurri.

It is expected that the Chilean will end up playing for a South American team such as Colo-Colo in Chile or Flamengo in Brazil.
