Inter wingback Ivan Perisic is expected to give the club an answer about his future by early next week and the Nerazzurri are cautiously optimistic, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media today.

As has been reported by Sky Sport today, via FCInternews, the Croatian winger will tell the club whether he is going to sign the contract they have offered him or leave for a new team this summer.

The Nerazzurri have cooled the situation since his outburst after the Coppa Italia final and they now hold cautious optimism that he will agree to stay at the club.

It is thought that the reception the Inter fans gave him after the Sampdoria game could be a factor in him wanting to stay.

The contract on the table is a two-year deal worth €5 million net per season plus a bonus. There is also an option for a third year as well.
