Inter forward Lautaro Martinez says that he has not talked to Paulo Dybala about his possible move to Inter whilst the pair have been on international duty, according to a report in the Argentinian broadcast media.

Speaking during an interview with Tyc Sports, via FCInternews, Lautaro Martinez was asked about a number of topics relating to the Argentinian national team.

The Inter forward is likely to be playing in his first-ever World Cup at the end of this year and he admitted that he is a little anxious about it.

“A little bit, yes. It’s a dream I’ve had since I was a kid. With my family I talk about it constantly, they are all football fans. If I already think about what it can become, I get anxious. Hopefully we can leave a good impression.”

Another Argentine player, Paulo Dybala, is heavily linked with a free transfer and Nerazzurri fans will inevitably be hoping that Lautaro Martinez can persuade Paulo Dybala to join the club.

Unfortunately though, he says that the pair have not discussed that particular topic but he clearly holds him in high esteem.

“We haven’t touched on the subject. We talked about many things, about his situation and everything, but today he thinks about the national team and his future will be decided when these games are over.

“He is a player with a lot of quality, personality and I hope he plays where he feels most comfortable, where he is happy.”

Argentina are playing Italy at Wembley very soon as it is the Copa America winners versus the European Championships winners.

“We are very happy with the present, we won the Copa América, the results are coming and we are working with more calm and confidence. We have to continue on this path.”
